I'm sorry, but Halloween is not a happening holiday at my house. To make it worse, it drug on for three days because it was on Sunday. Friday we went to the city carnival, Saturday, the church trunk or treat, and Sunday the neighborhood kids came around and we passed out candy while watching a spooky show called ... the World Series. It was the scariest thing I saw this Halloween... but that's another post.
I was informed 3 days before Halloween by Isaac-- who is always painfully honest, that I am boring because I don't have any Halloween decorations. As always, he was dead on. I felt bad enough to go scrounging around the attic and found some fake (and a few real) spider webs. Which I strung around the bushes in the front yard. Voila! --the lamest decorations in Bell County. I even tried to dress up for the trunk or treat, I put on some hideous looking overalls, wore some pig tails and made myself some freckles, in an attempt to be a fun mom.
Isaac said, "Well, I like it, but it's kind of embarrassing". No beating around the bush for this kid.
So I took out the pig tails, took off the overalls, washed the freckles off and went as my boring myself.
I also got an F in costume design this year... Mason and Jackson went as Texas Rangers baseball players... so pretty much what they wear on a daily basis.

In typical Isabella style she wanted to wear a pink princess dress. (Do you like the webs in the background? It's hard not to brag when you're just THAT good at Halloween decor)

What's the point of wearing a fluffy pink dress if you don't give it a little twirl...
Isaac came through for me this year, wanted to be a skeleton and looked cute doing it.
No BONES about it, this was a fun Halloween :)
